Joseph Appears in Amsterdam’s Annual Prisengracht Concert

Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja joins conductor Antonio Pappano for Amsterdam’s Prisengracht Concert on August 24th, helping the city to celebrate the 125th anniversary of this much-loved tradition. With the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra making its debut at this open-air event, Joseph will offer several signature arias: “Pourquoi me réveiller?” from Werther, “E lucevan le stelle” from Tosca, “La donna è mobile” from Rigoletto, “Nessun dorma” from Turandot, and Lara’s Granada. Also on the program are orchestral works by Verdi, Puccini, and Tchaikovsky.
